To better inform decisions made by the Designing Better Services (DBS) program the council is requiring 1600 employees to record how they spend their time during a week. Your line manager should inform you if you are required to monitor your time - if so then further details can be found on the intranet.
There are obvious concerns about this. Although the council have stated they are not intending to use this data to monitor how much time staff are spending working, the type of work recorded may have significant impacts on future decisions regarding staffing.
