By now all Moray Council employees should have received a consultative ballot on the employers pay offer for 2010-2013. With inflation running at 5% and a total pay award over 3 years of 1.5% UNISON is recommending members reject this offer.
Some members have expressed concern over the announcement of a pay freeze by the UK government on public sector workers earning over £21,000 a year. This does not apply directly to Local Government workers in Scotland, and as such the ballot is still ongoing. All members are strongly urged to return their ballot by Midday 29 July 2010.
