The Moray Branch actively take part in campaigning at national level and are at the centre of the debate on how our services should be delivered.   This includes serving on Scottish Council Committees.

  • Proper Pensions:  negotiating, lobbying and campaigning for good employer pension schemes, pensions for adult partners and a decent Basic State Pension

  •   UNISONScotland Positively Public Campaign:
    campaigning to keep public services both public and well-funded.

  • Serving Scotland for ongoing campaign news  

  • Equal Pay: fighting for equality of pay for our undervalued and underpaid female workforce.

  • Positively Part-Time campaigning for equal treatment for part-time workers who still get a raw deal at work. 

  • Justice for term-time workerscampaigning to end discrimination against term-time workers who are mostly women and are often the lowest paid in the public sector.

  • UNISONScotland Social Work Campaign 

  • Hands Off Our Housing opposing the Large Scale Voluntary Transfer of public housing.

  • Work/lifejuggling the demands of work with those of care, study, leisure and retirement.

  • National Minimum Wage:  UNISON led the union campaign for the introduction of the minimum wage. We believe that all workers should get at least �5.10 an hour, and are working to end the different age rates in the National Minimum Wage. 

  • Right to Care campaigning for free nursing and personal care for all.

  • GATS: campaigning against the General Agreement on Trade in Services
