Moray Council Budget Consultation 2011 - 2012
Moray Council began consulting on budget options for the financial year 2011 - 2012 in October 2010. The timeline of this process is:
- September 2010 - Consultation procedures approved by Councillors.
- Early October 2010 - Consultation begins with unions and staff.
- Late October 2010 - Public consultation begins - a series of meetings to be held around Moray with community groups and organisations.
- 3 December 2010 - Consultation closes
- December 2010/January 2011 - Likely saving options identified, formal consultation with staff affected begins and placed "at risk"
- February 2011 - Final decision on options to be implemented taken by Councillors
- March 2011 - Redundancy and redeployment procedures begin.
- May 2011 - Proposed final leaving date for affected staff after notice period
