Last week saw the re-convening of the Council's Joint Consultative Committee which allows a dialogue between the Trade Unions and elected members with officials also present. We discussed the need for meaningful consultation with regard to Designing Better Services and the budget cuts. The party line is that consultation at all levels does take place currently, but feedback from our members suggested that not to be the case.
