Haven't been very good at updating this blog owing to pressure of work. I've been involved in the Support Staff in school review - had a very well attended meeting with the affected members. That enabled me to make UNISON's response to the consultation with a good knowledge of what the members' views are. Also there's a Technicians Review in schools which is on-going and somewhat problematic for members in that workgroup. As well as those there's a review of the Registrars and consultation on changes to CLD staff.
And there's job evaluation at Moray College - another well-attended meting there. DBS Board and Worforce Forum have regular meetings. The normal running of the Branch and dealing with members' queries has to be fitted into ever-decreasing amounts of time.
Why not get involved in the Branch? We are all volunteers and the union is only as strong as its members.
